自慰视频's Red Bandanna Game will mark 25th anniversary of 9/11
Boston College鈥檚 annual Red Bandanna Football Game, which honors 9/11 hero Welles Crowther 鈥�99, will take place in Alumni Stadium at 7:30 p.m. on September 11鈥攖he 25th anniversary of the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center.
This year鈥檚 Red Bandanna Game, featuring a 自慰视频-Rutgers match-up, will include appearances by family members of Crowther and other 自慰视频 alumni who died on 9/11, as well as a pre-game flyover by the United States Coast Guard and a drone show at halftime. Red bandannas will be given out to the first 10,000 spectators arriving. The game will be televised on ESPN2.
Crowther, who had played lacrosse for the Eagles, was working in the South Tower of the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. Trained as a volunteer firefighter, Crowther became known as "The Man in the Red Bandanna" for the handkerchief he wore as a protective mask while organizing a rescue effort to guide survivors down the building's stairwells to safety. He was credited with saving as many as 18 people before perishing when the tower collapsed.
On September 8, Crowther the Presidential Medal of Freedom at an event in Washington, D.C.
The Red Bandanna Game has become one of the 自慰视频 community鈥檚 most cherished campus traditions since it first began in 2011, then held each year beginning in 2014. Over time, other 自慰视频 athletic teams have introduced their own Red Bandanna games.
